Irish instrumental rockers GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT have posted info in their MySpace blog regarding their newest upcoming album:
"Yes we are still alive!
We have finished the pre-production for the new songs and are really happy
with the new songs and melodies, some of the best music we have written to date.
We are still well on schedule to release new music in January 2009.
We will be recording all the parts over the summer and plan to mix and have everything mastered by late Autumn.
The new album will sound quite different to the last releases sounding closest
to AIVAIB, but the production will be much more extensive and experimental.
We might release a new single from the album in the Autumn as a preview to the new songs." (Source)
The band also indicated that headlining US Tour is likely to happen sometime in December, with a European tour to follow in Spring 2009.
