The Mantra Above the Spotless Melt Moon (TMATSMM) has teamed up with God is an Astronaut to release a limited edition 12” split vinyl. Two tracks from each band are featured in this release. This rare “split” limited edition is a must have for the Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Mogwai, or Explosions in the Sky fans.

TMATSMM delivers powerful tracks with guitar and vocals by Adriana reminiscent of Bjork and Régine Chassagne (Arcade Fire), yet the backing band Mavrikij: guitar, SalvioS: drums, and David Hope: bass; deliver the punch that you don’t hear in Bjork or Régine’s music. This is the perfect blend of vocal melodies melting into swirling ambience with a touch of sonic white noise. These tracks will suck you in, chew you up, and spit you out. This contribution is by far a solid two tracks from this up and coming (strong!!) band from Naples, Italy. Keep your eyes and ears peeled for anything this group of four puts out there.

God is an Astronaut, well known for their ability to take the listener on a journey; takes us on another well crafted trip to a world you can only see while listening to their music. They contribute two amazing tracks, one which takes you into a “Land of Refuge” and a second which takes you to a point of “No Return”. God is an Astronaut bring in the goods by stomping their stellar blend of stargaze stamp on the music industry. This Irish band delivers one nonstop masterpiece after another.
